Hello.
Welcome to Michelle's Macarons! I'm glad you stopped by.
I'm Michelle and I run Michelle's Macarons. I started this blog because there's so much confusing information about macarons out there. I wanted to provide a space that has simple guides, tips, and easy macaron recipes all in one place.

Macarons.
Macarons are light, airy meringue based cookies sandwiched around a delicious filling. Macaroons are chewy coconut lumps.

Don't make me tell you again.
Now, the two main methods used to make macarons are the French and the Italian methods.
I prefer the French method because I think it produces a shell with a thin crispy exterior and an interior that just melts in your mouth.
If you'd like to read more about the history of macarons, Wikipedia has a nice page about them here.
Recipes.
I create simple recipes that you can make at home. Since macarons are naturally gluten free, most of my filling recipes will also be gluten free.
All of the filling recipes work best with my favorite French macaron recipe, but they can also be used to fill whatever macaron recipe you like the most.
I've also made a video course for macaron beginners. Check it out here.
